This is the second part of the three part series covering Hikone Castle. Today we take a look inside the museum. During the month of August they had a special exhibition of Samurai suits of the Li family called "The Li Family's Red Guards"!

On display also musical instruments, pottery, tea ceremony utensils, old documents going back to the time of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, hanging scrolls of calligraphy, painted screens. There is a Noh theatre and several Noh masks on display!
The samurai suits are amazing, Red Lacquered and beautifully decorated, everyone whore them in Li's army. It must have been an amazing site, the whole army decked out like that, fierce looking and highly skilled!
